While focusing on promoting the growth and development of the Korean community, strengthening ties with the Korean mainstream society, and promoting political power, we are taking the lead in resolving the problems of youth and the elderly.
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3), non-partisan community organization established to promote the civic, cultural, educational, and social interests of the Korean American Community of Greater Washington through our activities, projects, and programs.
Objectives
We carry out a wide variety of civic, cultural, educational, social, charitable, and other activities in order to:
Articulate community concerns andinterests, and establish channels of communication with elected officials, private and public agencies, other community organizations, media, and the general public.
Host cultural events to showcase and promote the Korean culture to the Greater Washington area.
Promote artistic and cultural exchange between South Korean and the United States
Promote and foster good relations between the Greater Washington area and Korea
Organize educational programs encouraging Korean Americans to become capable leaders in the community and civic affiars.
Offer networking opportunities and other social activates to promote friendship and unity within the Korean American community.
Provide social welfare services to elderly and disadvantaged members of the Korean American community
